China's Central Committee of the Communist Party of China said on Sunday that the party secretary of the China Insurance Regulatory Commission, Chairman Xiang Junbo suspected of serious violations, is currently subject to organizational review.

Official media data show that Xiang Junbo was born in January 1957, 1996-2004 in the Audit Commission, served as the Audit Commission Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei special commissioner, the Audit Commission Director of Personnel Education, Audit Deputy Auditor General; From July 2004 to June 2007, he served as Vice President of the People's Bank of China, Chairman of the Party Committee and Director of Shanghai Headquarters.

From June 2007 to October 2011, he served as president of the Agricultural Bank of China (601288.SS) (1288.HK), chairman of the board of directors (after the reform), secretary of the party committee; in October 2011, he served as Chairman of the CIRC, party secretary, Member of the People 's Bank Monetary Policy Committee. At the same time, he was the 17th Central Alternative Committee, the 18th Central Committee.

Data show that in 2011-2016, the total assets of China's insurance industry increased from 6 trillion yuan to 15.1 trillion yuan.

However, with the rapid expansion of the scale of the insurance industry, the problem of corporate governance and lack of supervision of insurance companies has aroused widespread concern in the market. People's Daily official microblogging said, Xiang Junbo is the financial anti-corruption out of the heavy fist; when the whole society focused on "barbarians" invasion, regulators can not "keep their own theft."
